WTB US Tonghui 2830

Putting this on hold for the moment.

Looking for a TH2830 or TH2832 if the price is good. I have tried to purchase twice on fleabay only to have the sellers say they can’t fulfill the order. Most likely due to them not charging enough to cover imports.

I have a couple of items to trade if there is interest in trading.

Yeah, there are a few on Amazon as well that come in cheaper than Ali.  But I found what I thought were good deals on Ebay.  I had my doubts, but still.  Figured I would post on here and see if someone was wanting to offload one before forking up $1k.

Be very careful where you acquire the Tonghui, they will not honor any warranty if not thru an authorized seller.

Not that anyone would likely need any warranty work, the Tonghui is a beautifully engineered and produced product.

If you find one it will bring a  every time you turn it on, it's that good

I am not seeing one for $500 on Ebay.  I found one for $565, but I am not sure what test fixture it comes with.  I don't want to have to buy a test fixture as well, the one it is supposed to come with is quite good from what I have read. 

Also, I don't mind buying used in the US as returns are not that painful, but buying used overseas makes returns a bit more difficult.  Yes, buying new overseas also make returns difficult, but there is a less likely chance of a return.

Our TH2830 came with quality Kelvin Clips TH26011CS, TH26048A Fixture with Shorting Bar. These add about $200 and believe they come as stock with instruments from authorized sellers.

BTW the TH2830 employs a beautiful "R" type mains transformer, not the cheaper laminated type, and the interior construction, components, and PCB are as good as it gets

The guard terminal is on the rear and is directly tied to chassis and mains ground, we added a common mode choke to the AC mains cable.

While I agree the Tonghui build quality is excellent, not only will you get no warranty if you buy from e.g. Ebay or Amazon but also no bug fixes, tech support, new firmware etc.

BK Precision sell rebranded Tonghui in the US, you are likely to get better support if you buy from them, but alas the prices are higher.

Techmize seems to be the rebrand of Tonghui in Europe. Batterfly shows a TH2830 for 1,184 Euros.
