analogue Scopes

I have a analogue scope at present, now  I have a questions is it possible to make a "one shot" for a analogue scope, and is it possible to make storage for  a analogue scope, I have seen for sale digital storage scopes are these a different beast all together .

Most analog scopes can do one-shot, but you would use a scope camera with Polaroid film (or digital camera) to record it. There were also analog storage CRTs that could store the signal for a while. If you're interested in those, I'm sure you can find some Tektronix documentation. You're not going to convert a normal CRT into a storage CRT, however. You can find analog storage scopes used, but they're obsolete technology and pretty much inferior to digital storage oscilloscopes.

Thank you I'm fascinated by the whole concept, as analogue with digital storage  must have been the start of it all, no my scope doesn't have single shot, it's very basic 10 MHz Telequipment D61A, my next birthday is a landmark one I'm told 60, and my wife has already told me not to buy a digital scope as that is the birthday present, so that's to look forward too

there are many such scope on ebay, you shouldnt have to spend more than £100 or so, cost depends on how fast you want the one shot to be

I'm just a hobbyist, starting to do a bit of fault finding & repair now, so I won't need the fast thing on the planet, I do miss some of the functions on more advanced scopes £100 sounds good as I don't like a great deal of money spent on me. If I do get a digital one the Rigol 1052 I think seems to have a lot of good things said about it, and I know someone with a Uni T UTD210CM, who seems very pleased with it, a whole NEW mine field I think.
I may well just keep looking on ebay for a good yet old Tektronix 2467 or a 2465, probably see me out.

Since you're at UK, check this thread Here, and watch the video, that guy has many those huge analog 7xxx series. 

If I were you, I will track down the auction and if they're still available, I'm willing to drive for hours just to grab these gems.

IIRC he mentioned sometime ago ,(cannot remeber which thread), that he had a number of analogues that needed checking before listing on ebay, maybe he might have one at a good price!.
