Android Phone Sd Card Not Showing Up On Pc

so i have an android 9.0 phone i got a 32gb sd card for it for 8nzd and i use it as the internal storage as phone only has 4gb built in and only 400mb free space android uses the rest of the space

so i wanted to copy some files to my phone off my pc but when i go to this pc on my computer and click on my phone it only shows the internal 4gb storage no sd card

what can i do

You have to make sure that the phone itself can see the card first. Check/Google the phone model to see how much of a card it will be able to accept. For example, I have a Samsung Galaxy S5 (quite old) which takes a 128 GB card as against the entry level Samsung Galaxy Prime will only take a 32 GB card. If it is supposed to take the card you have, you may have to the phone settings and check what options you have there.

Check Settings > Storage

You may need to (re)mount the SD card

You can also do this by dragging down the USB connected notification that should appear when you connect the otg cable.
