Arrow's having a 30% off w/ 1-day free shipping deal - what to buy?

Hi friends!

Hopefully this is not a dupe - I just stumbled across this seemingly incredible offer from Arrow (http://connected.arrow.com/save-30percent-en) and they're offering new customers:

- 30% off total purchase 
- 1-day free shipping 
- No minimum order

What should I get from them? I wasn't planning on spending money but if I can save a few hundred dollars in the long run I would consider it. I just barely started planning my lab so I don't really have anything other than some old lab power supplies (I'm fixing up some HP/Agilent E36xx PSUs) and 2 cheapo multimeters (UNI-T UT139C and an old UT33A).

The 30% of deal is only for new customers, but the free overnight shipping for all orders is for everyone. Although I find Arrow's website cumbersome and clunky, I have been buying stuff from them lately for the free shipping.

Yeah, the free shipping is great. Don't be alarmed if they split up your shipment, though. It seems to be normal for them, even with a small order. Odd, but normal.

Some of their items are at really good prices compared to the usual places. So, it's worth a look. I do wish they'd fix their search, though. It's so bad.

Been in my cart for months now awaiting a favourable exchange rate (and trigger from me) and it still shows up. Click checkout and DS1054Z listed as in stock. Even the code I received for the newly created work account has been sucessfully applied to my existing account to drop the price to $244.30.

Guess I won't be pulling the trigger. Would love to get it but as a armchair hobbyist with some serious car trouble ... priorities. But mmm...

According to Google they started doing it in May 2017. They may have been doing it this entire time but I'm not sure.

Yes, the Arrow website says that the free overnight shipping is only for a "limited time," but this limited time has been well over a year.

Yeah, the free overnight shipping has been around for a while. Arrow has been working hard to draw in customers.

I've checked their prices for a few components I have an ongoing need for, and they are more expensive than on DigiKey. And $10 for slow shipping from DK do not really bother me. Although having Arrow as a cheaper emergency option is nice.

I picked up the RPi3+ just in case, so in this respect the campaign worked, I guess.

Yeah, not everything there is cheaper than DK or Mouser. So, it's just another potential source for comparison shopping.

I get the same as you for the new work account. But the item in the cart is allowing to be checked out (as per image saying in stock). Don't believe that they would be holding stock for item in cart but who knows?

The free shipping is great!
I ordered 5-16 pin DIP SG2524 for 4.02 delivered next day.

Would cost me almost that much in postage.

Arrow often throw out promo codes, and sometimes components appear to go on sale, making the prices much better than Digikey/Mouser.  Several times I've gotten Neutrik connectors that we use for $1-2 less (on a $4-6 part) than the usual Mouser price.  So they can be worth taking a look at and it's definitely worth while to keep an eye out for their codes.
