A bundle of steel rods by the look of it, (could actually be bicycle spokes) wrapped in a guess plastic, but could be something conductive, the question then is, if the wrapping was conductive, could they be seen as a very ineffective loop antenna? in other words actually causing a measurable effect to ambient EM field strength?
now i am no audio fool, but i like to approach these things to find out what science they are relying on to rake in cash.
And if this was the case, then they have built a device that functions on resistance, capacitance and inductance,
hmm, pump a million amp through it and you have a fuse, and wait for oxide deposits on the metals and you could have yourself a diode
