CBCT reconstruction help with professional software
« on: October 17, 2026, 02:49:08 pm »
Hi,

Does anyone have access to professional CBCT reconstruction software and would be willing to test a scan using my projection images?

Before I spend a lot of time writing my own reconstruction code, I’d like to see what results are possible with established software. I’ve asked Hexagon and a few other companies about evaluation versions, but haven’t been able to obtain one.

Here are examples of what my X-ray setup can currently capture:

A full scan is about 10 GB, with approximately 400 projection images per rotation. I can provide the images and scan geometry to anyone interested in trying a reconstruction.

I once used Radiant for my MRI scans, maybe they have CT scan support?

Google around, you may find something similar for viewing CT medical scans.

Hi, cool project.

A lot of “pro” CBCT packages are locked to their own scanners and may not accept raw projections. If you share a small sample set (like 50 to 100 projections) plus your geometry, someone can quickly test if reconstruction is feasible before moving the full 10 GB.
