Cerebras IPO
« on: May 15, 2026, 02:28:08 am »
Wholly cow, they make a cpu that is almost 2foot square with 900,000 cores (WSE-3), but the underwriters bring it to NASDAQ at almost 2x real valuation ! That's nearly $30B over valued !!

The IPO should have been near $125, open at $150, then at least it's a win for all because it would have up'd near $200. The 1st few hours looked like the IPO folks put their shares out for shorters. Makes sense when you have a valuation that makes no sense.

They have good tech, I like it, but no real market share. nVidia stock getting good bump now that it can sell into China.

Interesting times.

No.
185 was a priced IPO for small amount of shares. Sure, those (institutions and such) who got some IPO shares got some initial equity.
The order books just before opening were chaotic, I suspect the AI model (running on nVidia  :-DD) is the thing that said open at $350.

But it's tanking again today. 385 peak yesterday, today hit 275 low, now riding near 290.

The only place for this stock to go is back to 185, which analysts said was an over valuation.
