I usually do all my PowerPoints in comic sans and rainbow colours with gifs recycled from the 1990s. Gives it a nostalgic yet comedic look :)

Hm?
What's wrong with Comic Sans?
It's the only font that can be visually identified by untrained humans - essentially making your letters visible and looking different from what they look like  without using a font.

Here is a text without a font.
You read it, and see the meaning of words.
Letters are essentially invisible.

Here is a text with a font.
You read it, and notice the letters, their shape.
This supposedly creates some sort of an aesthetic difference, valued by "designers".
However, by this point you already stopped noticing the shapes, the letters are invisible again.

TL;DR: Using a font gives you an ability to make the users see the letters and derail their train of reading.

P.S. Me cannot to write fiction.

OK I think I see what you're trying to say, that you can use Comic Sans to completely distract from the content. This is certainly true!

What was throwing me off is your talking about text without a font. But unless it's handwritten, text must have a font. What you mean is leaving text with a normal font as opposed to a crazy one.

This really is fantastic. I also dind't notice the font selection before I saw this thread.
For the music. You can always just post the lyrics.

Heh, even better, if you align them to the right it can go on forever.

This thread took me back to the times of FrontPage on Windows 95! Good times!

Useless fact: In that clip, Mr Bean actually drives past my old house on the A316.
