Outstanding!!!!!!!!
Hats off for Kelvin Doe.
Necessity is The Mother of Invention.
[/b]
Here in The Good Ole USA, we used to have a lot of individuals that used to pursue their dreams or interest the same way Kevin is.
Yes, there are still some, but not enough by far.
Of course that was before The Woodstock crowd took over Washington DC and flushed common sense down the toilet.
Just think , we got Apollo 13 back safely and now we ride with The Russians.
For the time being I am employed and make a meager salary , however I am going to contact , or try to, Dr.David Sengeh at M.I.T or someone with this web site
http://www.crowdrise.com/innovatesalone to request a mailing address for this young man, Kelvin Doe.
Yes I could generically donate to the Whole Cause, but I have some equipment around here not being used I can send to Kelvin.
Ironically there are a few EE students I am aware of around here and have tried to GIVE some equipment to ,,, and ,, none of them were interested! And NO, none of the students have their own equipment because if they need any , they use what the College or University supplies. Hum,, ?
I am sure many watching Kelvin's video may have thought about the same thing.
I would encourage any that can or want to to try to get this young man some equipment also.
Not that everyone that is or may be interested in donating to “Innovate Salone” or helping Kelvin Doe can not look up the info for themselves , I have included some of what I found below.
If I am successful in getting Kelvin's mailing address and if it is ok with who ever I get his address from, I will post it here for those that may be interested.
As for Dr.David Sengeh's first question;
How can we >Promote Innovation< among young people in our communities?
Lets see, here in The USA, we can start with Teaching Math with Pencil and Paper again, as well as the other fundamentals, instead of Replacing Pencil and Paper with Laptop Computers , now in some districts starting as early as the 5th ~ 6th Grade!

Electricity is officially 220V/50Hz. Sockets are British standard. Supplies are unreliable, but improving - parts of Freetown do now get a reasonable supply. The Bumbuna Dam hydro-electric project is now operational (6 November 2009), which provides 50MW of electricity to the capital, which is supplemented by 26MW of thermal power generation. Away from Freetown, mains electricity is only available in Bo and Kenema and comes and goes unpredictably. Makeni, Koidu and Lungi (airport) have new power stations under construction.
