forum issue (left border) setting (for Dave)
« on: August 12, 2012, 10:46:58 am »
I think General chat is the right place to ask this ,I don't see a  specific topic section for  forum issues .
Dave would it be possible to alter  the "left border setting" in your simple machines forum software so that it  can use more of the available display (I only use 1024 *768 monitor at this computer).
Like when you click on "recent posts" it's great ,the posts that are displayed use the whole of the available screen width and you can see whole 800 *600 pictures that have been posted .But when you click on an individual thread the posts are displayed in this narrow band of screen  and you lose like a quarter of your display to  this left border and so most all pictures that have been posted are  always to wide to view on the screen so you have to scroll horizontal along to see  bits of them .

Might be a good idea to look into. Problem is with things like this there is limited control over what you can do. But c'mon time to update that screen ? My only 1024 * 768 screen is ny laptop but I wanted a small one and when at home I connect it to a 1280 * 1024 screen. Most things these days are hideous on anything smaller.
