:palm: This is entirely dependant on the topic of the video blog you may start ; for example (my guess is) Dave can barely speak Arabic and doesn't know much about traditional cooking on Easter Island, that doesn't mean he can't host a good blog on another topic...

Dave ... doesn't know much about traditional cooking on Easter Island,

Fock, you are telling me this NOW? I wasted time watching 600 episodes and there will be no Ester Island cooking at all? Fock, fock, fock.

I can barely speak English and I don't know anything.

That sentence is better than most of the comments and email I get  ;D
Who says there isn't a niche market for someone who doesn't know anything about electronics, but blogs about their journey learning it?

Just in case you didn't know I speak Arabic.
The funniest thing about this signature is that by the time you realize it doesn't say anything its too late to stop reading it.

Think of your first video blog as the first step on a journey - you have no idea where it will lead you!

But you do need some kind of theme; there was a bloke in his late 70s who started a video blog on getting older. Sadly he has recently died but he attracted a huge following in his last few years.

Have a look around different blogs and analyse what you like and dislike about them then copy the likes and avoid the dislikes.

Good luck!

I assumed that the OP was making a humorous ironic statement on the proliferation of video blogs with little worthwhile content, or perhaps having a mild dig at the sort of posts where people ask "should I do X?" whilst giving no background information at all.

On the other hand, perhaps it was a serious question. :)

Anyway my point is if they can get away with making that video and getting 800000 views, then why should you hesitate. They didn't. They bloody well should've.
PS, and it's not like it was just some random drum laying in the yard. They have a vast arrangement of targets including a fake deer. Definitely one for the only in America file.

There are countless gun channels like this one, mostly Yanks of course.
Did you think they'd get any less views when they have a hot chick shooting a gun?  ::)
