Guess what I'm sending Dave!
« on: June 24, 2013, 06:03:06 am »
I just sealed up an envelope full of stuff to send Dave.  Nothing huge because I can't afford a lot of postage, but decent enough.  So I'm going to do what xrunner did and give you a hint.  I'm not going to say whether you're right or wrong, because that would spoil the surprise, but it might be fun to see what you all come up with.

The hint is the picture below.

Even if you figure it out, there are a few items, so you'll still be surprised.

Yeah, it sure has.  There are actually five dormant or active volcanos within viewing distance of Portland, so things could get really interesting really fast.

Shoot, nearest active volcano to me is about half a continent away, but the dormant ones are a 5 hour drive to the big hole where there was once a small mountain. If you want a big hole though you have to travel to the Phalaborwa copper mine, where the little thing half way up the side is actually a 100 plus ton payloader hauling ore up the road.

No, you idiots, it's a volcano!

Now tell us, how much does postage cost for that?

Dude, it's illegal to ship volcanoes to Australia. I suppose he can always falsify the description.  :-//

Yeah, last I checked, regular mountains were fine, but one eruption and the damn Aussies don't want it anymore.

Do they feel the same about flashlights/fleshlights?

Um, sure.  PM me your address and I'll tell you where to send the twenty billion dollars, and I'll get right on it with the bulldozer.

I'll have to call up the Bank of Nigeria and see if they have my money yet.

I get emails from there all the time trying to give me money. That should not be a problem. :-DD

It kinda looks like Mount Rainier but with the tree line it might be Adams. it's been a long time since I saw them.

No dude! He's sending a tree! It's called Adams! How much did you pay the customs mafia for it to pass through?

Ahh, I thought he meant the volcano metaphorically - hence the fleshlight guess.

Of course, I have no idea what a fleshlight is.  I'm sure you don't either.  It's just a word I heard once.   :o

Just write RC HOBBY GIFT and $1 on the tax form, and it'll work out.

This is amusing.  I would never send Dave a fleshlight, unless it had a motor and a microcontroller.  Though the lingerie did crack me up, I wonder what that was about.  Did we ever find out if it actually fit Mrs. Crazy Aussie Bloke?

Not asking for pictures, mind you, just wondering what the final disposition of it was.

Cool.  :-+

He teased me for several months before opening mine. I saw it on the Super-Stack, and his son even stepped on the box in one video, but to no avail. But eventually, he opened it.  :)

All I have to say is - be patient.
