Dave can you delete the poll - it has become meaningless and I tried and made a mess of it
Don't worry about the poll. I've not looked at it with any interest for some time - and I don't think anyone else is too worried - except maybe yourself.
Do you know how often the meter takes AC readings?
Not off-hand.
However fast the chipset used can do it.
Thsi is not a great meter for AC work, it's only got 2.5KHz bandwidth.
Thanks for getting rid of the poll
I'm trying to figure out how to do discount/coupon codes on Amazon, is that even possible?
Got my first Amazon refunded order today.
No details about why or how, nothing, just says the money was refunded to the buyer

So it must have been from the ebay buyer. This is really a sad situation. Can you find out who it was shipped to? I have had sellers contact me when I returned a product. If they do not answer you then probably a scam.
Can you sell on ebay and have them shipped from Amazon? Charge just enough to cover your expenses and undercut the other ebay sellers. Looks like you have to play the same game
if you cannot get them removed from ebay.

What happens to meters returned to Amazon? Do you need an agent in the US to inspect them?

- they are resold
- no inspection needed - if there is a faulty one then it would be flagged as faulty
Different if faulty.
It was returned for money (the buyer found a cheaper one) thus no explanations

I don't see how that could be true. If the buyer says the meter is faulty, is there really someone at Amazon's return processing department who is qualified to inspect it?

I know who it is and have asked them why it was returned. Looks like a legit Amazon order to me.
Amazon will take anything back for just about any reason, and they pay return shipping. The the buyer could have easily just decided they wanted to spend the money on something else. I've also had two occasions where i received a used item, where some a-hole swapped new for old and sent it back and nobody bothered to look/notice.

Louis Rossmann had the same problem with Amazon, so he raised his prices. Speaks about it quite a bit in his videos.
Ebay won't be any better - all you have to say is it's counterfeit and the seller virtually has no legs to stand on and the same goes for unrecorded/unsigned deliveries.
Some people may buy several different meters and then decide which is more suitable and return the others. Wouldn't worry about it in all honesty.

Who is they ? The seller or Amazon ?

At least with Amazon Prime, Amazon pays for return shipping. Amazon even sends a UPS guy over to pick it up.

Probably an american '
Toploser' buys piles of returned Amazon stuff in unknown condition for a low price then and sells it.

That is not the point of the question asked.
The question relates to vetting the returned item - not what happens afterwards.
