Your post is completely blank for me Teslacoil.  Looks like imgur links are getting automagically replaced with javascript imgur embeds (yuck).

(And don't get me started on those clowns using MS Word for typesetting their thesis - we're talking about people doing paragraph indents with spaces  |O)

Ahah yes, though at least they did it themselves!

Ever wondered why the typical ChatGPT answers are structured with an introduction, numbered points and a conclusion? Is it the way people normally talk, or is it the way people are supposed to structure their essays?

Don't connect your test gear directly to the internet. Trap for young players.    :-DD

Tektronix scopes and LAs from that era came with a relatively standard mini-ITX motherboard as I recall, and Windows 2000. While it was possible to run any program on them, I think it was not *this* easy unless you managed to quit the main application (which was in full screen) which would get you back to a Windows desktop (not sure I recall that) or at least a command prompt. But someone having used these more than I did may remember better.
So I don't know how realistic the picture above would be, but that's certainly funny.

HP/Agilent and R&S also have a full-screen windows application with a typical "Sys" or "System" button that took you to the main OS screen.

Fortunately at work all these are in an isolated network and can only be accessible via GPIB on a more modern host PC.

Oh, the "whys" of the datasheets... The information is there not to be an axiomatic truth, but instead each speck of data must be slowly inhaled while carefully performing a deep search inside oneself to find the true metaphysical sense...

So there you have it, don't have a soldering iron, just speak French at your circuit; or if it's RoHS solder, Italian. :-DD
