This post serves either as a reminder or introduction to Sydney geeks about PIC Club Sydney.
It's a handful of electronics geeks that get together for a couple of hours to share their electronics projects or point out useful tools and websites. It's not all Microchip PIC stuff. There's a mix of uC and non uC projects. The group is a mix of hobbyists, professionals and newly interesteds.
The next meeting is June 14th 2011 Tuesday. Starting 6pm.
http://picclub.factors-online.com/It is a subgroup of the Sydney PC User Group.
I haven't been for maybe over a year now and I've only been 2 or 3 times total.
It's held, as the web site says:
1st Floor, Sydney Mechanics School of Arts,
280 Pitt Street, Sydney.
Some of the group hang out for a chat and bite to eat at a local bar/cafe (apologies to any young'uns who wouldn't get in)
It's a bit of a hustle for me to get there from work so I've taken the day off.
I'm pretty sure it's free for new faces but maybe bring a couple of shiny dollars for the coffee and biscuits jar just in case.
There are contacts links to Neville Hoffman and Bob Backstrom of the group if needed.
By the way, if you go, the pizza is for the SQL group that meets next door, not for PIC club
The PIC Club room isn't big. Sometimes they close the door. You might have to knock and stick your head in.
