Reality Attacks Solar Industry

Greetings EEVBees:

--The Solyndra company has closed its doors, having actually produced almost nothing, with the 535 million dollars the US government gave it. This is queering the deal for the rest of the Solarians. That is not how you are supposed to do it. You are supposed to at least actually produce and sell a product of some kind. Then the politicians and the media can sweep all the subsidies, taxes and sweetheart deals under the carpet and report that actually, Solar power is competitive. See link below.

--Below is a link to a report on Shale Gas. How you get it, where it is, etc. I is a comprehensive report and, includes cost estimates for various energy sources, including renewables and fossil fuels (both with and without carbon sequestration). There is a foreword by Freeman Dyson.
