Simulink lookup tables
« on: July 13, 2019, 12:54:32 pm »
I am trying to understand how does lookup table let's say 2-D lookup table work. What do I put in for "Table data" and "Breakpoints 1", "Breakpoints 2"? If I understand correctly, the "Table data" is the output and "Breakpoints" are input?

If I define a vector in Matlab, let's say it's vector "A". Then I can insert this vector in "Breakpoints" as input. But the block has then input arrows indicating that it needs an input. Why is that? I have give him the input vector.

Sorry, but can someone explain to me this. I have read this on Mathworks but I still don't get it.

OK, maybe now I understand:

The table data is the actual data we will look at to get the output. So it's a lookup table. Then the inputs on the block in Simulink, are the data which we want to get the solution. This input is for example a number, let's say 5. So we ask the lookup table, what is the corresponding solution. And we get the output for 5, let's say 10.

But what are these breakpoints 1, 2 and so on? This I don't know.
