Fantastic, ordered a few sets.

(Though, I think I remember there where differences in Norwegian and Swedish binders some years back, wonder how that is now, but I guess Clas Ohlson can help if that happens.)

It supports ISO838, EU 4 ring, and US 3 ring systems.

Doesn't work in Sweden, so no global standard (too many variants to support or call global standard). Why not make them without holes and let the customer use a local hole punch?

Because supporting those three standards suits maybe 95% of customer requirements. Why inconvenience those 95%?

Not very inconvenient to punch some holes. Not compared to trying to fill in the erroneous holes.

Why would you need to fill them in? Dave is right. The few people who love with rare systems can punch the extra holes they need.

New holes will be too close to/overlap the eu 3-ring holes.

That's why elongated holes are commonly used for compatibility. Works for both triohålning and ISO 823 (and its four hole extension).

What EU three rings, by the way? Two or four is the norm - 8 cm apart for A4.

I assume they meant the US 3-ring standard. That said, the Swedish holes are not too close to the US 3-ring. I think glarsson might have accidentally been looking at the US 3-ring for small paper, rather than the 3-ring for 8.5x11".

Not all plastics punch well anyway. The µSleeve looks like it's probably PVC, so sorta squishy/stretchy, and probably hard to punch with cheaper hole punches. I can't tell in the pictures whether the holes in them are punched or melted in during production (which reinforces them, too).

There are essentially four standards for general filing, the US, ISO (with EU 4 hole variant), covering 98.2% of the world's population, the Japanese standard (JIS Z 8303. Thirty, count 'em, 30 holes) 1.67% of the world, and the Swedish triohålning, covering the remaining 0.13% of the world's population. That tiny proportion of the whole might explain why they aren't exactly going out of their way to accommodate your local standard and if they do branch out I think the Japanese might be in the queue ahead of you.
Anybody got a syringe I can use to squeeze the magic smoke back into this?
