Something interesting I found.

Well this is interesting. Found a wireless controller that I can reverse engineer to use for low voltage applications out of a smart light bulb. Merkury brand too.

That could be useful in home automation. is the range fairly decent or is it cheap? It certainly looks much more complicated than the woreless controllers in the various products around my home that use simple wireless switches.

I'm gathering its one way wireless?

It is actually two way communication used by the Smart Life app on phone or tablet. it uses the 2.4GHz wifi protocol. If put onto MOSFETs it would prove to be very useful for putting larger loads onto something that only goes for $20USD for a pack of 2 at WalMart.

It also have outputs for RGBW if you want to put loads for all colors. Sadly it does not have support for CW if you want that also.
