oh that photo combines all my favourites! Motherboards, hard drives, and hot grips.

And the temperature controls pointing towards the camera, not towards the user.

In fairness, the ESR of watch batteries is like 100 Ohm.

Wouldn't that affect remaining useful capacity?

Judging by the observed results, that is how mechanics splice and solder.

Painful realism. Notice it does appear to be on. And there is a waveform on the screen. Something is wrong. Where are the adults in these rooms?

Nice touch :-DD

We could all help rectify this situation by taking informative high quality electronics images of people using equipment properly and uploading them under OK to use commercially licenses.

It isn't the mechanic at fault. It just shows how shitty the battery powered soldering iron is; it can only melt the solder without properly heating the wire thereby leaving a blob of cold solder to subsequently fail.
What this picture really does is warn a potential buyer to "Make Another Choice"; the mantra for anyone considering purchasing new MAC tools.

Even more interesting about that $2000 PC build video is the aftermath -- Verge's response and actions and what happened to the "Verge PC guy"...

Not even a "stock image", it's from a real multimeter listing.

That battery's pretty flat if it's pushing less than 10 mA into a near dead short!  (And I just looked more closely and it appears to be an AC battery.  Shame it's dead - those must be pretty rare.  I've never before seen one.)

If it jams, force it.  If it breaks, you needed a new one anyway...

That power bar is also a bit wonky, why are their only 200V on an EU plug? That's quite low.

Red on common, leads correctly on battery but still positive (and too low) mA read.... All wrong....

 :-BROKE

Also...that AC socket seems to have 200 volts DC on it...with the meter set to measure AC.
