Hi,

Next week I will be visiting Singapore and Kuala Lumpur.

I would appreciate some tips and advice on what to visit and do as a tourist.

But what I *really* would like to know: are there any good shops to get second hand test equipment (spectrum analyzer, signal generators, etc.)?

Seems like a good opportunity to get away with no shipping cost and custom issues. Not looking for anything in particular.

I am interested in electronics, too. Wouldn't mind a chance to get a second hand/refurbished Samsung Galaxy Sx/Note x (got a very cheap Note 4 in Hong Kong three years ago).

Googled and found Sim Lim Square in Singapore. Is it any good?

Thanks!

Vitor

Singapore: go to Sentosa Island.
Other then that you could go onto Ebay and find some test equipment dealers from Singapore.
There are small lies, big lies and then there is what is on the screen of your oscilloscope.

Thanks!

Seems I am not off in my thinking:

Sentosa Island was already on my list and I did try to find eBay listings from both locations, but unfortunately for me (and luckily for my wife), I did not find anything interesting. Yes, I did look for "other items" of sellers in these cities.

Regards,
Vitor

Nothing much in Singapore.  The rent is so high that the shops at SimLim is surviving on margin that people need them urgently.  Anything else items are much cheaper online.
