You are missing the ordering. The healthcare is shut down first. Then people fill in with LLMs because they have to. I do ask Claude for health advice. Yes, that's kind of sad; I would rather have a reliable, simple, affordable way to see a doctor but that's not an option so what can I do?

Well, the difference is, at least I'm guessing, that you're not a dummy and have enough healthy skepticism to evaluate what the chatbot tells you, unlike the millions of poor credible dummies out there who'll take its advice no matter what.

But yes, I think we (meaning what some people call the "Collective Waste") are rapidly headed towards that particular dystopia.

My mother died due to the thoughtlessness of doctors. Replacing doctors with AI won't be that bad. I haven't met a doctor who looks for a solution when test results are ambiguous or contradictory.

One thing about that article that's bothersome is that they raise the issue of privacy concerns due to the use of "AI" expressed by the pharmacy's customers, but don't explain just how "AI" potentially impacts privacy. Something I would have liked to read more about.

As the article says, meaningless info unless you have error rates with/without AI to compare to.

The drug would be wrong in the notes, but, notes are not a prescription, so its not sure what the outcome there would be.
