Our good friend Mike pointed out this facepalm-worthy Kickstarter campaign in a tweet earlier today:

As Mr. Claridge describes it:

The first thing i get asked is "Are you for real." The answer is yes. Just ask me friends who have seen my work.

What i have come up with is a self sustaining generator that runs itself off 200? worth of batteries. Feedsback into a self sustained loop and creates 5000? of excess power. It is fully functional. Being true I am happy to invite investors pledging to come and view the machibe for yourself if you are in Victoria.

I asked Mr. Claridge (from memory, possibly paraphrased):

Amazing! How did you overcome the laws of thermodynamics?

He responded (exact quote)

Im not bypassing the laws of thermodynamics. What I have done is tecondition the drive motor. I have replaced the ferrite magnets with Neodymium magnets. Increasing the webbers making the torque in the drive motor 10 times stronget. So i have increased one side magnetically and im taking it back electrically off the other side. I am only generating the power that is in the magnets. Put in 180? into the new motor and it produces 1800? of torque and can take that out at the other motor.

I feel like I should at least respond to his answer to my question. In the interest of clear communications, can anybody teach me the most quintessentially Australian expression for "bullshit"?

Wait, wait... he's claiming to generate 5000? (W with double striketrough), not 5000W.

It's his unit for poo, so if we assume 1 gram of poo = 1?, by funding that project you can obtain easily 5Kg of free poo. 

He basically did the same earlier....

He lowered the funding request from 20k to a more reasonable 10k. Seems legit.

This isn't a free energy device guys, please read the description carefully. It's a South Korean currency printer, put 200 Won in and it makes 5000 Won, seems quite a good business plan.
