Just saw an advert yesterday about these new Duracell batteries with the usual wild claims that it lasts longer and so on but I they showed a screw driver and they said it will make it work "faster".
Now how does it achieve that? extra cell voltage?
I find the same advert but not in English on Youtube but there is this one with a toothbrush that they said they same thing that will work faster but not how:
00:00 the battery that makes this toothbrush
upgrade your devices with duracell optimum
Our battery will make your appliance work faster... but what if I don't want it to work faster and over voltage of that is the case?
I remember Dave Jones did a video on some batteries he was testing and I think they were Rayovac. He measured them at 1.6v but nothing about that on the packet or their chemistry and he mentioned that when you add more cells that 1v will start to make a difference and can over voltage if the regulators can't handle it of if there is none to protect the circuit.
Quite offended when the whole page shakes and prevents the right click context menu:
https://www.duracell.co.uk/optimum/We are proud to introduce New Duracell Optimum, our most groundbreaking innovation yet. Duracell Optimum 1.5-Volt AA and AAA batteries use a unique formula that helps to improve the performance of your devices. It lasts longer¹ in some devices like your Xbox One Wireless Controller, while it will make other devices, like your RC toy car² go faster¹ for better playtime, or your battery operated screwdriver ³ rotate quicker¹ to build your furniture in record time.

I found the answer my question and it is 1.5v:
So how does it spin faster?
New proprietary technology provides more energy to your most demanding device.
They talk about "unique formula" and "New proprietary technology" but I don't see much on the data sheet other than a few graphs to show it
I found the datasheets.
About 0.4 more watt hours at 1000ma than the Coppertop and Industrial so it does hold a bit more energy compared to the Industrial
The Industrial and the coppertop seems to perform better at lower watthours.
I initially misread the graph at first but the Coppertop and Industrial seems to perform better at lower watt hours:
Optimum AA
200ma 3.0 Watt hours
500ma 2.25 Watt hours
1000ma 1.4 Watt hours
Coppertop AA
200ma 10.5 Watt hours
500ma 2.9 Watt hours
1000ma 1 Watt hours
Industrial AA
500ma 3.2 Watt hours
1000ma 1 Watt hours

OPT1 Zn/OPT1
I wonder what
OPT1 is suppose to mean?
Duracell's own addition/invention?
Can't find much about it other than the usual datasheet.
