This one takes the cake. On audiophile forums there are threads with pages and pages of people raving about the "jaw-dropping" improvement the US$250 Furutech Clear Line "AC optimizer" made to their stereo system:

https://forums.stevehoffman.tv/threads/furutech-ncf-clear-line-ac-conditioner.1108097/

But if you actually look into the brochure for it, the manufacturer admits that there is no electrical connection between live and neutral, and it does not form a circuit:

https://eliteavdist.com/docs/brochure/NCF%20Clear%20Line%20(News)-US-1_9090402-1599757656.pdf

It's basically a $250 plastic box with two springs in it and some "Nano Crystal Formula" pixie dust sprinkled on top.

Those forum posts are indeed jaw-dropping.
 :palm:
But then - if they are happy with their purchase, I won't stop them.
Maybe I should invent some type of orgone generator to improve audio and TV signals.
Oh wait, I'm too late to the market, it seems...

Strange coincidence, I just made an "Orgonite pyramid" from electronics leftovers.  It draws so much negative energy from the environment, all my ground connections are now floating  :-DD

(In the pyramid I've embedded an LED connected directly to a small coil, and under the paper there's a wireless charger which causes it to light up)

No no and no. Look at how chaotic those electrons float around, that's noise you *certainly* don't want in your 100k audio system.

That's not noise, that's Warm, Authentic Sound Experience  ;D

Also, it was my first attempt with epoxy resin. The next models will look betterhave better quantum efficiency.

I wonder what the simplest thing is you could sell, which is so obvious it does nothing, that these foolish people would believe makes a different?

Isn't there some point at which even these fools would balk at a product's claims?  :-//
I told my friends I could teach them to be funny, but they all just laughed at me.

You can probably sell *anything* to people who already purchased an orgone generator. You know, something like a black felt pen to paint the outer ring of your CD?

So far the record is remote healing. People send you money and their name and you remotely heal them or send them good energy, or chi or whatever.

Actually, literally, there's a SIMPSONs TV episode covering this; A deeply flawed set of concepts that take on their own 'life'.
I think the (tv show) suggestion was, out of sheer exasperation,  a super-sarcastic phrase regarding 'Zombies', the uttered phrase was:
"Maybe there are, also, 'Reverse Zombies'...only come out during daylight...".
This then met with screams of distress...

So, haenk, my playful advice would be: Be careful; people believe the worst, flawed sarcasm, you could come up with !  And maybe some have the (false) belief 'verified', by the mountain of legitimate denials issued, by the respectable and established.
Now, my idea, 'they' are secretly working on a 'Moon Helicopter', at SpaceX ...
(That kind of easily disproven crap can be the most 'viral').

Lastly I watched some YouTube videos and I did indeed hear the differences in the systems being used to demonstrate the product. Whether or not I will hear it in my own system, through my speakers, in my listening room, remains to be seen.

lol, so the difference can be heard in a Youtube video, but this person is not sure if they will hear it on their own system? what?

Well the problem is you have to build cred (pay off the right people) before anyone will buy your product.
Getting someone to write garbage like this would not be cheap:

So the big question is this, how are the NCF Clear Lines doing this? My first thought is that the Clear Lines are acting as some sort of high-frequency filter, but after consulting with Graeme Coley of Furutech, he disabused me of that notion. Since the NCF Clear Lines are never part of the circuit, they don't act as a current-limiting filter. Instead, the Clear Lines dampen resonances occurring in the AC lines and at the outlets. These resonances are noise that sneaks its way past the power supplies of equipment. This noise has a particularly nasty effect on source components that work in the millivolt range. By lowering the noise floor, the NCF Clear Lines improve dynamics and help with the retrieval of more harmonics. Hence, more drama to the music. This noise reduction eliminated a lot of the harshness so common in pop and rock albums.
