Ignition Missing Tooth Decoder Algorithm

Hi,

I need to develop a digital ignition using an embedded system. I'm having trouble finding information about how the algorithm for this is implemented.
As a first goal I'm not interested in implementing the spark advanced degree correction acording to the engine load for the system.
But I do need to calculate the advance degree acording to RPM. Any ideas about this?
