Nothing exciting, but finally picked up up a nice old variac from a local garage sale, only mentioning it because it went for £10 as opposed to six times that and I'm cheap enough to keep searching for two years to save that much.
Also some lovely metal parts drawers (unfortunately only after forking out for a couple of plastic ones from Aldi as a standby).
These were from a local machine engineer where luckily most of his impressive collection of machines went into the care of hobbyists, rather than some clearance gypo just buying the lot to sell.
Apparently a few buyers mooted that their own hoards of specialised stuff really needed to be passed on to the right people now, rather than it all being left to their families to dispose of without understanding its value.
Sad to see a box of reamers and micrometers just sitting there, just waiting for the right guy to turn up.
