So what does these words stand for?
BOM?
Vendor?
NDA?
Hi,
BOM is Bill Of Materials, or parts list, component list.
Vendors is the seller, the organisation that you buy from from.
NDA is Non-Disclosure Agreement. This is a document that requires the people or organisation to keep the information exchanged secret.
I hope this helps.

BOM is an annoyingly pretentious name for a parts list!
I like "BOM".
I bet you wouldn't say that on an airliner!
I'm American. On an airliner, I refuse to admit that engineering exists, lest somebody think I am engineering bombs. Our consumer electronics were brought to us by the magical iPhone fairies.
Of course, I haven't boarded an airliner since they started molesting people, so maybe things have changed. Doubt it, since they're still molesting people.
Gets a bit confusing here seeing as "BoM" is the shortened version of "Bureau of Meteorology"

Imagine being a Vendor for a weapons manufacturer... "Please send me your BOM", god forbid they breach the NDA
Back in the day,my Boss was the Broadcast Operations Manager,or "BOM."
We used to fly all over the State on maintenance & repair jobs,& talked about the "BOM" all the time on the plane.
In retrospect,it's a wonder we never got in trouble.
I used to travel on airlines with guns, bullets and explosives. Not only military aircraft but on commercial airlines as well. only thing they asked was to check the gun before boarding, and to keep the magazine in a pocket during flight. A different age, and we actually did have terrorists who were blowing stuff up like nightclubs, shopping malls and such. We so wanted to take a walk through town in civilian clothes with a complete Strela and see if anybody noticed though, the bets were that there would be noone the wiser.
