hi all so im really new to all this and own an auto repair shop i purchased and andromeda research labs eeprom writer and am dealing with multiple rigs involved in a flood and am having a problem identifyng the id num for the chip im trying to work on any help would be great
well give us something to work with
? we have nothing, no numbers / photos etc ...
thats the problem i can barelyl see any number ill upoad a photo
If they're flood damaged, what can you possibly hope to achieve by rewriting the EEPROM?
If the control unit is water damaged, rewriting the EEPROMs will solve nothing. The only thing I can see coming from this is to modify the VINs, thereby obtaining a clean title.
This sounds fishy, especially with the lack of details.
im trying to write the vin off one computer to anoter my ecm was fried im sending photos now
so this particular ecu was fried becasue someone shorted the alternator wire directly to the ecm case killing it so im takeing the other one from a junk yard and have to over write the original vin with the one out of my truck because the can bus system wont let it start untill it sees matching vin number in all control units
so to the person thinkin im doing something shady i have attached photos of the damaged truck and its vin as well as a recipt from the salvage yard i purchased the ecm from and my addresss and phone number so please dont treat everyone like a dirt bag
im very new to this and the closest place to have a service like this done to me is by mail 3 days away and very expensive i just need some help walking me through some of this and somone to help me id the chips themselves
by the way if i didnt say it before im using andromeda research labs complete setup i have their laptop all of their connectors and their programmer
