Where can I buy the tool that Dave uses to open up the snap-in cases? It looks like a butter knife with the end ground flat.
Thanks!
"Spudger"?! Did you just make that word up?

No, it's real. I just checked eBay and they do exist
Plastic if good to not scar plastic. I like the thin steel iSesamo to get into most things.
They don't replace a hefty screwdriver for heavy duty destruction.
Pah! use an axe, guaranteed to gain entry to even the most solid plastic case.
I can recommend guitar picks, even to hold snap-feet open after prying so they don't reconnect when you go on to the next one...
I second plectrums. They're tough and cheap and last forever. I recommend thinning one corner to get into really tight spots.
You can never have enough spudgers and podgers lying around in various sizes.Along with assorted pry bars crow bars etc. The best tool I have found for glued or welded cases is a pneumatic chisel, just about nothing fails to give to one of these.
My amazon review of the iSesamo tool
The tool is excellent material and the shape and thinned tip are excellent. But the edges are left as stamped and have your normal edge roughness that could scratch cases. A few minutes of deburring and polishing the edges yourself makes it the perfect tool.
My amazon review of iFixit Pro Tech Toolkit that contained metal and plastic spudgers
Everything except the metal spudgers and pry tools were reasonable guality. The tweezers I received were actually above average. The metal spudgers/pry tools were good quality steel with a good temper but the shape and grind quality were horrible. Fortunately I can grind these to shape myself. Don't buy this kit expecting any of the metal spudgers/pry tools to be useable as received.
