Many beverages contain cyanogenic glycosides, which are not harmful at all in normal doses. Examples are amacha and orgeat.
Ethernet allows almost endless extra audio tweak possibilities: dynamic vs. static IP, does 10.10.x.x sound better than 192.168.x.x, sound differences between router ports and what is the correct cable direction (twisted pair direction). And of course all the usual audio device tweaks also effect ethernet devices.

You got no idea! With the much larger address space you can finetune the audio stream to match your environment much better. If you've experienced harsh sound with with IPv6, it's because of a completely detuned IP address not in balance with your sound environment. I'm working on an IPv6 audio tuner right now. It's similar to a guitar tuner and allows you to finetune the IPv6 address fast and easy.

If you patch it through an audio encabulator it will increase the performance even more but you want to make sure the far end is using a decabulator in order to componsate for the flex density of the wave matrix. Make sure you get an encabulator by GE directly as there are lot of fakes out there.
You can have the most expensive clock you want, but if it's not kept synced with a n+1 redundant Symmetricom GPS receiver unit, it's kind of useless.
You also want to ensure you use 0 ohm impedance coax cooled at -512C. The good stuff will use braided liquid tubes.

This must be where our current Prime Minister got his "expert" advice from! According to him, Australia doesn't need to invest in fibre optics to future-proof our telecommunications infrastructure, the green, crusty, 50 year old copper will do just fine and 12Mbps downstream is enough for everyone!

Cryogenic freezing very important to align crystal structure works well for metals, less so for fibre.
Can someone explain to me how in a digital system, the "noise" is at all relevant to the sound quality? Wouldn't the only effect be relevant at the final DAC stage and downstream amplifiers? Everything else prior to the DAC along the digital transport pathway (USB, ethernet, etc...) should not be susceptible to noise, that's the whole point of digital, no?
The best thing you can do is install a PCI audio card as it puts the analogue stuff further away from the unshielded digital stuff on the motherboard causing lots of noise. But I just used an old sound-blaster card that I moved from PC to PC ignoring the onboard sound-card with analogue amplifiers sitting in the middle of digital busses. Have they bothered to come up with an overpriced shielded soundcard ?

I have a close friend who has a solid understanding of digital audio and a PhD candidacy in theoretical physics at UCSB, and he always believed cable thing is 24 karat bullshit, until recently he started buying so called HiFi headphone cables .
I discussed this phenomenon with a psychiatrist. She pointed me to towards the "Veblen Effect".

This piece of information helped me to understand a bit what is going on in these people.
Basically they are trying - through buying super expensive products - to demonstrate how financially and technically-wise able they are thereby raising themselves above others.
Knowing this, it is clear to me that the people suffering from the Veblen Effect have a simple ego problem. Comments from any psychiatrists here are welcome, since there may be other aspects and explanations for the behaviour described.
