Are we just paying shipping? That's very generous.
There is a stipulation for thickness of envelope not to exceed 1/4" (6mm).
The issue to discuss is that there is no tracking for this low cost service. Any service that includes tracking will cost more than the parts are worth for 10-12 pcs, a lot more. Stupid money kind of more.
Feel free to chime in with your thoughts and suggestions.
I've shipped a lot of small parcels in the US.
By the way, it would be much cheaper to send the lot for all UK participants to a single address in the UK by a tracked airmail packet and then forward it over here using Royal mail. I can do it if required.
Cheers
Alex
USPS International First Class letter/envelope fee is between USD $2 and USD $3 for up to 3.5 ounces (100g) for Europe, Australia and Indonesia. There is a stipulation for thickness of envelope not to exceed 1/4" (6mm). When the parts arrive, I will make up some envelopes and take them to my post office to see if the envelopes are acceptable for international first class mailing.

They have a board with a 1/4" slot in it, and the envelope has to pass through.
If you give the envelope to your mail carrier, they are not going to have one of those, so you could probably fudge it. I don't know if it would be kicked out later and returned.QuoteThe issue to discuss is that there is no tracking for this low cost service. Here in Croatia, you can send letters as a scroll, basically in tube format.. 50-100g cca 2€ to EU zone..
They consider it normal letter, just care about weight.. Actually they require tube not to be too small...
So is there such a service USA->EU ?

I can't speak for the others, but for me personally, this is more about getting hold of identified parts from a batch that Zlymex has already sample tested with good results. I'm grateful to Zlymex for taking on the expense of purchasing and shipping them to the US. If I have to pay $13.50 or more for the privilige of receiving them then I will be well satisfied. I really don't care that they're $0.25 in China, or whatever - this way I can be sure of what I'm getting!
Australia looks not well supported (i.e. bulk send not worthwhile), but if post is only $10-15, I would happy to pay that if it reduced hassles.
