Working on a simple DAQ for some medical research that I'm doing. Need to connect some micro thermistors to my leads and then the leads to the DAQ. I need to be able to detach the sensor from the lead and the lead from the DAQ. Was going to do BNC, but that appears as though it will cost me ~$5/connection (2 connections per sensor, 4 sensors=$40 just in connectors).
Anyone have some tips on cheap, rugged connectors suitable for in vivo research? No need to be waterproof but should not disconnect easily.
Or...cheap BNCs?
Can you have many sensors going to 1 connector?
Db-9, or its family.
If it is just two pin locking connectors you need try looking up TE Connectivity Mini-Universal MATE-N-LOK
Sockets, plugs and the pins to go in them are sold separately but if you can find someone in your region that will sell small quantities then these could be significantly less costly.

This is a reasonable choice. Wrap them in cell-o-wrap during the experiments. However, they're not very skookum to quote some other guy.
DB-9esque solutions not appropriate in this application, although bonus points for efficiency

. Is there a locking form of RCA? Small is good, by the way. Using 22Ga shielded bipolar leads.
