I'm having a bit of trouble figuring out what will work to replace capacitor C1. See schematics.

The "C1" that is highlighted is the wrong C1. Go to Table 6-1 and find "A1C1", for C1 on assembly A1. HP part 0180-0149, "C: fxd A1 elect 65 uF +100% -10% 60 vdew".
Any good electrolytic should do. Perhaps use a 100uF 100V part.
Just measure it and buy the correct replacement axial or radial. It’s nice to get the right form factor

The parts without an "A" in front are chassis mounted parts, that's where he's gone wrong.
Something like MAL213819689E3 (68uF 100V), or used in the other thread MAL211818101E3 (100uF 63V) would do. Parts vary for the later IC regular version.
