Must have or Nice to have !
Often, when purchasing new equipment, a crucial step is to classify the features required by the customer. The two categories are "must-have" and "nice-to-have." The most advanced product is the first choice, but budget management requires revisiting the initial choice.
What is for you the 'Must have' or the 'Nice to have' for a data acquisition device?
· Measurement range
· Accuracy
· Resolution
· Sampling frequency
· Wi-Fi connectivity
· Ethernet connectivity
· Internal storage memory
· Software components for rapid prototyping and design
· Additional communication wired bus for interoperability
· Configurability of the inputs (Analog, Digital, Current) for multiple use
· Linkable output analog signal to input data (input signal or wired bus data) for triggering
Please feel free to write your criteria in the comments.
well, if you test all the channels before you ship it, you got a leg up on the large premium manufacturers
Your list is all wrong!
I HATE both accuracy and resolution!! More like must NOT have! That's why I only buy stuff from Aliexpress that cost less than $10.
you mean an exhaustive test of all features on a test bench ? right ?
$10 is a challenge I cannot take on
yes, so you don't ship it to a customer on a dead line with a broken channel
all you would need to do is see if it reads a signal properly on every channel. I am starting to think we did not have that level of quality in at least 10 years.
the mentality must be, "they can just use the next hole for the wire, no one needs all the holes"
I think these jokers are selling data acquisition devices now
That's 'Nice to have' , statistics says test sampling. the customer will not use all features hope so !!!!!!
Again, I am telling you what a killer product would have

there is no law against testing if all the channels work. If you get a reputation for not screwing up peoples time tables, its going to outclass the top three TE manufacturers

That's a realistic challenge !!! Make reliable and intuitive tools.
If someone is interested in more technical details about the data acquisition device, please make me a request in PM.
