Here is my final (
?) Thai Curve Tracer with Octopus. It is now fully self-contained.
Still a bench toy, but it is something to talk about.
The two channel scope was $25 on Ali. Could not resist. It even has cursors and measurements!
I'll be damned. This thing will display current waveforms up to 6 amps directly, without a current probe.
If the Chinese are capable of releasing this kind of technology at this price, the USA should not underestimate them.
https://h5.clewm.net/?url=qr61.cn%2FoyrJa8%2FqFWqgLHYou may need Google translate to read the page. The scale is extremely large but just scroll down to the videos on current measurement and function generator module. Fascinating and I am not chuckling.
link for the mini scope please ?
If you've ever seen a DJI quad, you already know not to underestimate the Chinese.
Everything we hear about China was once said about Japan.... and I mean everything.

keysight should lower prices a bit
the only thing is japan did not have neo communism, so it was more likely not to fail and have problems because of rampant corruption.
but we do need to get rid of artifical price zones made around things like over 3 amps being nonlinearly more expensive. its a power electronics world right now. all the cool technologies that enable industry use power electronics. sensors and shit are important but so are the little motors. The tools, the cars, the automation built into machinery , drones... huge market and you need basically more then a amp to make them work.
the only thing that can fight chinas huge labor advantage is massive automation to increase the capability of 1 individual using small motors.
