They've been a zombie company for years. They stopped answering their phone middle of last year, and the website domain expired late last year. It's since been snapped-up by a cyber-squatter.
Ok , any ideas who may sell a eeprom chip for 1.8 to 30 Mhz for the SGC 239 ? as my board needs one .
Did some looking around, and at the schematic. There is no separate EEPROM. It apparently uses the internal EEPROM of the 68HC11 processor. At least it appears to be socketed. I could not find any evidence that anyone has dumped it or replaced it. So maybe your best option would be to look for awhile and find a blown up donor unit. I know that’s not too much help, sorry.
It's even worse than you might imagine. The EEPROM on these tuners is protected and cannot be examined using conventional (jtag) means.
That said, there are other likely causes for not tuning, like the SWR detection diodes, etc.
What is the problem you are seeing?
