Hi,
I have a 1500USD budget to buy multi-meters, I wanted a 6.5 Digit bench units something like 34461A and a 4.5 or 5.5 digit hand held units (maybe U1281A), I need them for my precision works, there is so many choices and I can not made my mind yet, what model and brand do you suggest? I'm new into precision electronics and my budget is limited,so any help and advise would be highly appreciated.
Regards
Thanks, changing 6 AA's for F289 is a night mare! what do you think of keysight or gossen metrawatt?
Thanks dave for the info,But it's outside of my budget and also I need it to be able to handle 10A current too.
There is also the Metrahit Ultra with "slightly" worse specs - but it can take 10A (and as usual - with as single input from 1nA to 10A).
https://www.gossenmetrawatt.com/english/produkte/metrahitultra.htmIt's a bit slow though, no bargraph either and despite of the claims of the homepage, MetraWin10 doesn't support it without hacking its ID in some dll.
There's also a version with BT, but there's just an Android App as far as I understand. The IrDa version works fine with my
DIY adapter though (apart from the Metrawin10 issue).
Thanks,Any suggestions regrading what parameters I should consider for a newbie who wants to enter the precision world? also any Ideas about 6.5 digit bench meter?

You would be hard pressed to do better than the 34461A at its price point. Additionally, since you are in the middle east. Keysight is offering a free BenchVue DMM Pro module with the purchase of the 34461A. This gives you additional computer integrated functions that can help in data logging and the like.
Thanks,So 34461A and U1282A are considered a good combination?

Any reason you haven't considered the Brymen BM869S? I have one of those and REALLY like it. That being said, I have not owned a Keysight handheld meter before so I can't comment on the U1282A.
