Transmille's 8081 Precision DMM offers unrivaled measurement performance and versatility at break through pricing ...
Did I completely miss it, or did they make no mention of the important metrological specifications like accuracy and drift in that video? He seemed completely obsessed with noise.
Did I completely miss it
I guess we both did.
Looks to run around $11,500 on price..
It looks to have too many features crammed inside for me to trust that they got any of them right. Jack of all trades...

yeah, cramming it all in one box makes for less total equipment on the bench, definitely not good.
What I want to know is how frequently the areas where 8.5 digit meters are needed and the areas where 30A current measurement is needed intersect.

I can't think of a single one....
Not seen this before on a hardware product - from the user manual

And for those few cases... Hmm, I can't think of anything *cough*externalcurrentshunt*cough* they could do. I guess they're just SOL if they can't afford this meter.
And if they need that nice, low noise, how about.... nope, can't *cough*averaging*cough* think of anything.

Sounds like a challenge for the community here.
Regardless, I still hope they send one to Dave!
I don't think the mindset that leads to that IMPORTANT NOTICE mixes well with "Don't turn it on, take it apart!"...
Yeah. The domain names are registered in towns 49 km apart. How many unique metrology companies could there be in Kent?

30A on the bench none the less...

With directors having the same surname....
that guy can probably sell you weed from the back of a van
Or at least measure its resistance.

Or a shoe, anybody with an Al Bundy avatar is instantly OK by me...
its probably a 3458A inside of a box with a rasberry pi transducer computer and a current shunt off ebay. Easy 3K profit.
Easy 3K profit.
How many shoes per year would that take?
Yeah. The domain names are registered in towns 49 km apart. How many unique metrology companies could there be in Kent?
With directors having the same surname....
and one of them only a couple of miles from where I used to live... hmm....
