Browsing the net I came around an announcement of Metrix of new 2 channel differential probe units
MTX 1032-B and
MTX 1032-Chttp://www.chauvin-arnoux.com/en/produit/mtx-1032.htmlMTX 1032-C • Bandwidth: 50 MHz
• Compliance up to 600 V/Cat. II
• Used with coaxial/banana cables and oscilloscope probes
MTX 1032-B• Bandwidth: 30 MHz
• Compliance up to 600 V/Cat. III
• Used with sets of banana leads
These units can be coupled directly to the scopes of Metrix but also be used as standalone.
This could be very interested for using in a fixed setup on the test bench.
I only wondering about the pro’s and con’s of using such fixed unit or using a separate 1 channel differential (cable) probes?
Any comment or suggestions?
I have seen similar boxes like the Metrix ones before. Basically a differential probe with BNC inputs instead of banana leads.
