Hey Everyone,
I'm mulling the idea of refreshing The Amp Hour's logo. I know many people will say "JUST KEEP THE CURRENT ONE!" because people associate with it (I do as well...hell, I made it!). However, this is an exercise in finding another one that fits the tone of the show AND one that can easily be printed on merch for giveaways. The current one cannot. I've tried reducing the color scheme and simplifying it and it loses quite a bit.
So what should be in there? You guys were super helpful in finding a name for the show, I thought I'd throw it out there in order to get some help in elements that could be contained within the new logo.
Thanks!
~Chris
Normally, I'd say a logo is significant, but in this case, I don't feel it is, I feel the intro music on the Podcast is, because that is what most people get first; they try to access the content and are greeted by the intro to the podcast, which I think it quite good!
With that said, I think the current logo is fine, maybe make the entire world look like a PCB and just have say... Australia and USA as "footprints" add some drop shadow or contouring to the edge of the entire thing to soften it up and that might come out OK, i think it looks like it has too much detail.
Here is a beginning of a concept for the logo
Oooops, forgot to put Australia down under
Does that make US voltage and Australia resistance?
P.S. Given the usual length of the show, should the upper bound be more like 5400?
head is stolen from the web because I'm a bad painter
Q: Why is current represented by "I"
A: Because current sources are imaginary!
