Does anyone have any knowledge about power supply in modern JBC soldering stations?
Currently I am looking to buy one. And able to do it only in US (only 120V versions in stock)
but power outlet in my country will provide 50 Hz.
Although label on station itself said
120V 60Hz, technical specifications in instruction manual tells:
120V 50/60Hz (
http://www.jbctools.com/pdf/JT_B_MANUAL.pdf)
Does it mean that I will be able to connect it to power supply both with
120V 50Hz and
120V 60Hz without harm?
Thank you.
Yup, it has just a regular transformer inside so it will work fine with 50 or 60 Hz.
A US company,
janelonline, also sells the 230V models (they sell internationally), and their prices are good. Might be worth looking into, as it would eliminate the need for a stepdown transformer.
Thank you for the clue.
At this time, quantity in stock for all 230v stations is 0.
But I shall ask them.
