Hello, I hope I didn' t post this in the wrong section..
Goodmorning, today I have taked an hp 6632A power supply, as my main power supply (I am fixing my other power supply) I have taked it for 160 € and it' s in perfect condition, more less never used, I have maked a deal or I have to regret this choice?
Sorry for my english
Have a good day
Sounds to me like you made a pretty good deal. Never used one myself, but from what I'm seeing about them, 160EUR seems like a pretty good deal to me.
Absolutely sexy inside:
There is something about through hole components, they look better IMO.
My choice was between a hp 3616a 0-35v 0-1.7A for 100 € (in veeery good conditions and tested) and the HP 6632A at 160€ (140 for the psu and 20 of shipping)
I don' t know if I have done a good choice bit I hope I'll be happy
It looks massive for a 0-20V 5A supply. Very nice
12-bit DAC's, 0.1% resistors, 8 pass-transistors, SCR crowbar and more
Note this beast has negative current control - it can sink or source current, which can be a surprise if you ever connect a voltage source/battery to the output with it set to a lower setpoint.
Woo I didn't know that! Thanks!
And another question if I can, I need a new function fenerator, I don' t need of tons of settings and other things like this, my budget is 160€, what can I take? I have check an HP 3314 and it seem pretty advanced, and really good for his price (150 to 350 on ebay, there are many good deal) 20MHz is massive for me, is good for me? I have to make audio test, and to test alternate circuit, nothing for now that need arb and other thing like that.

Yes, T-H and juicy leaded solder... none of this SMD RoHS bullshit...
Pretty good deal id say. Its hard to find a PSU of that build quality for such a price.
I have payed it 130€ including express delivery ahaha
I don' t know why, but is good, the auction was closed at 140 without shipping costs ahah
