I can imagine. This would be a challenge in itself, without the additional forum efforts.
I just had to share the laugh with you.
Fluke 382A_DC_Voltage_&_Current Standard: pictures are worth 1000 words... 1fV-50V's
still playing with this one, I can get it to respond at the fV level on the HP3456A! woohoo
Sorry to be "that guy" but do you mean it responds on the 10uV range? I think with six dials and a 5V range the best you get is there. Or are you looking at AC ripple noise on the output?
Hmmmm, it does do 5mA full scale, so it does do 10nA resolution, which is pretty darn impressive.

*this one is VERY, VERY NICE, YAH!
What price are you asking?
Boonton Power-Meter Calibraor 25A, HP 435A Power Meter with 8484A Probe and 11708A Termination.
***just checking calibration of the probe here @ 1uW***
more testing to come but baseline results look good.
Just an FYI here - Minimum frequency for the 8484A is 10MHz and the Boonton is a 1MHz output so that will impact the reading. In the 8480 series of sensors you want an 8482 as it covers 1MHz. I'm not sure how far out the 8484A will be as while I have 8484A's I also have 8482A's for below 10MHz.
Unit looks in good condition though - Please PM me if you can't come to agreement with 4thDoctor on a price for the unit as I think it might be useful for my Dad in his wireless shack (I also have a 432A-H76 so I can set the 50MHz output on the power meters directly).
Good luck with the rest of the gear.

Happy to help. I still have that 8672A from the video (I replaced it with an 8673B). They're good units and fairly straight forward once you get the understanding of the user interface.
Will PM you.

For sure! I have 4 of them that need some work. Yes that’s right FIVE total. Four needs some love but one is stacked, minus current shunts card, but the case it is in a bit banged up. Make me an offer I can’t refuse and I’ll send them FOUR of them your way, if you'd like of course. (One has been set aside for another forum friend).
***edit: another forum member just requested the working unit, so I will have four that I will post shortly so so can see the various states and functionality.
Hmmm, I wouldn't even know what a reasonable offer is.
I might bow out as I don't even know what these are worth.....
Well anything higher than a zero $$$ is good loll and you make some space loll
Oh man thats you? Right on, well I have the same HP5342A as well!
That 5342A will go from 10Hz to 500MHz on input 2 and 500MHz 10 18GHz on input 1 - In fact they actually overlap at the 500MHz point and you'll be able to go over 18GHz at the top - My 5342A went to around 24GHz before it stopped (you will need to increase the incoming power though as you go past 18GHz and you need to be careful to ensure that you don't blow the front as they are pretty much unobtanium now**). If you have option 002 (it will usually be marked on the back of the unit) then you can also do amplitude checking up the 18GHz limit with that unit - Again, mine was good enough for government work even after all these years (no where near as accurate as my 8480 series sensors etc though).
One suggestion that might help move the gear is to check on eBay for what these items have actually sold for (not the asked price, use the sold/completed values) and set an initial price there.

** There is a guy rebuilding front ends but I can't remember if he is still doing it etc
I *never* should have looked at this thread
Please give us a heads up when you post listings.
You don't have a Yaesu FT-817 in all that do you? The 857 is more power than I want as I have a 991A. The photo of the big stack of gear along the wall really didn't provide a way of telling what you had for sale.
My biggest problem is over the past 18 months I've already bought about $12K of gear and I've pretty much run out of space. I'd like to get a 2nd 3478A so I can monitor both voltage and current, but after that it starts getting rather self indulgent. I've got a pair of 34401As, so the 3478As are just for monitoring the power to a device from the PSU which only reads to 4 digits.
I'd love to have the resistance standards, but just no way I could justify spending what they are worth.
The 817 runs 5 watts off AA cells down to under 9 V. Which is why I decided I wanted one. I can reduce the power output of the 991A, but the current drain is still quite high for long term battery operation.
I have a new meditation mantra:
"3 GHz is enough."
Except for a 2nd 3478A to monitor the bench PSU I'm set do to everything I can think of up to 3 GHz. And I'm really almost completely out of space. All I've got left is space for things I build.
But that doesn't keep me from drooling.
What is your ebay store? , a link is good.
He doesn't seem to have a Store, but here is a link to his items:

Is there a 3478A in the pile? I need a 2nd one.
I remember listening to that in high school
If you all want to chat and close some deals, Ill hang out here for a bit and reply...needs to get gone...and I am in a very good mood!
Crap , i was going to grab them. Either to fix , or to salvage...
It was the shipping cost that put me off that grotty pair
I am fence sitting. There are a couple of things I lust after. BUT. I already have a pile bigger than Grandpa's stuff with much that needs work. I really shouldn't, but it there are cool things there.
So far my sensible side is winning.
