My local (USA) electronics dealer has them on perpetual sale for $2.95. I bought a few a while back out of curiosity.
http://www.mpja.com/20MHz-Oscilloscope-Probe/productinfo/15085+TEThese would be a good match for one of those Chinese $20 oscilloscope kits. They are about the cheapest POS probes I have ever seen, but of course YMMV.
ADDED - My Bad! I overlooked the fact that these are 100 Mhz rated - they looked identical to the 20 Mhz versions I have bought. They do look to be of the same manufacture though.
Are these different from the usual cheap oscilloscope probes?
In a word ... yes. They actually work up to 100MHz for a start. I believe they were made by Texas Instruments, could be wrong on that though.

How do they compare to the Hantek PP150's ?
"This item will be shipped to UK buyers only"
I've bought a ton of those in the last couple of years. Good probes for the money.
They were made by TI for ref. And they're much better than any cheap ass probes I've found.
I've only stopped using them recently because I got a decent deal on some new Tek probes.
Out of interest Mr BD139 ... did you sell a Rigol function generator on Ebay a while back and drop it off to a company in Feltham ??
Yes that was me. Small world! Hope you're still enjoying it
I actually needed an AWG about 2 months after that and ended up buying another DG1022Z
Haha that's typical isn't it
... Yes, very pleased with it thx
Previous threads claimed that the Wittig probes are made by Hong Kong Texas: http://www.hktexas.hk/en/index.html
They are certainly not made by Texas Instruments!
Oh, bother. Well, still a good deal.
Interesting find. Well that clears that up. As Mr Scram says, still a good deal!
