Reminds me of those EXTREMELY thick-framed black "glasses" WITH NO LENSES, that thicko women wear, in a vain attempt to make them look "intelligent". Such is the irony...

well is it really any different than any other kind of jewelry/accessory that serve no purpose other than looks?
Still not even close to the ugliest and dumbest we have seen from that industry in recent years
They missed a trick here.
They should have put some audio cables on the coat, then the audio nuts would feel the need to buy the coat to make the audio sound better. Some kind of fabric to cable symbiotic relationship that only works with the wearer of the coat.

Don't confuse models wearing frames without lenses because the photographer didn't want to have to deal with reflections for people in real life.
Also, don't be sexist. I once met a bloke who admitted the glasses he was wearing had clear lenses because he wanted to look more intelligent. To be fair to him, he did look like a thug without his glasses and didn't with them on so I could see why he wore them. langwadt is right, it's not really any different than any other kind of jewellery/accessory.

afaiu it is pretty much intentional, it is so ugly that the cheap brands can't make something similar because it is too ugly and no one will buy it, but the big expensive brands can still sell it because some people want to show they have money even if it ugly...

I believe you just described idiocy.
It may actually be smart.
If you are ugly but rich you can buy ugly designer clothing and pretend it's all on purpose

when i was young i was incredibly afraid of having to wear glasses because only nerds used glasses. I hated when hipsters suddently made glasses fashionable. I wore glasses before it was cool to wear glasses

same goes for furniture, art, wine, etc. if you don't have any style or taste you just buy the most expensive designer brands and pretend you do
I have a nice and warm military vest (urban camouflage) with tons of pockets. A long coat is completely useless for working outside. BTW, if you look intelligent you might be hunted down by a sapiophile.
The guy is going to be immediately arrested on the street for carrying weaponized screwdrivers , scisors, tie strings, and everything else.
So if you had to pick a meter to accessorize for a fashion show, what would be your pick? I think I'd stick with the blue, but go with something like the mtx 3293. Probably still costs less than the silly coat

Add some wire and the bomb squad will be called.
Gulag electrician.
Haha, well. That's funny how to make this "electrician" look fashionable, they had to resort to something that sort of gets you back to the 40's. But fashion shows are just a comedy to promote brands.

For the blue there is obviously only one choice...

There we go! Let's put the CAT back into catwalk!

Or Mr. Dave sue them for using a Blue Multimeter.
