Hello,
I have found in a lot of metrology stuff a parallel port dongle SENTINEL Pro from RAINBOW Technologies with the following sticker
RB-4AGFCE-B
9717U24332
Wavetek Datron.
Any idea ?
It's a hardware token for some kind of software, but it'll probably be useless judging that it's parallel...

I think so too. Rainbow uses to manufacture these copy-protection dongles. Where I work, all of our A3 digital certificate tokens are from Rainbow, but nowadays they use USB tokens.
About your dongle, a quick google search shows that Wavetek (formerly Datron) was bought by Fluke in 2000.
It may be for their Cal SW (forgot the part number) that was used when the were still independent. Just a guess. I tried to find some data about it some time ago, but nothing. If anybody has some clue about this SW let us know. It would be nice to know if anybody still has it running.
