hi guys
my skills are limited to simple PCBs made with Eagle/CAD, I'd like to improve my skills
any good book/course around? (commercial or open, I have 1000 euro of budget)
p.s.
I have bought an used PC (IBM intellestation Xeon from Ebay), it comes with an installed old version of Altium/CAD
I also have a Professional version of Eagle/Cad v7.2.0
I know Dave wrote a PCB Design Tutorial pdf but I can't find it... Its on his site somewhere (not the forum IIRC)...
let me know
any university course ?
I haven't personally taken the course, but I hear great things about Robert Ferranec (Fedevel Academy?) not 100% sure on the spelling, but he is on YouTube and runs a course might be worth looking at at least?
you can do fedevel course for Altium for abou 100 bucks or so. It is really good

where? which is the commercial name?
Read some of my posts?
Probably wouldn't hurt to pull an archive of my writings and compile a Q&A or FAQ sort of thing...

YoMan, I already got my degree in computer science and got my bachelor's degree in electronics engineering. I always had an interest in electronics and understanding of how to design embedded objects from scratch, but ... my University has provided no skills, nor about how to design the electronics, neither how to design the firmware
I got engaged in avionics, there is no chance to learn anything about electronics, so I am trying to evolve myself in my free time (weekend). I guess The University should provide a few theoretical guides(1) about designing pcb, rules, constraints, useful tips, things that you can master (improving your skills) once engaged into practical things (= job experience)
(1) and in case, It's exactly what I am looking for!
