Hello,
I'm using EPever IPower 5kW inverter to supply the majority of the house consumption, everything is fine, except the clocks use mains frequency to run
I have no idea why must new expensive kitchen appliances use mains frequency clocks
It runs about -0.15% under, what it is within inverter specs, but causes the clock to show total nonsense after a few days.
I wonder if somebody tried to solve this issue with this or similar inverter.
You would have thought with all those fancy menu's in there that there would be a frequency fine tune, poor design and or little experience of real world, common feature of design these days
No need to finetune, they do that in the factory if you buy a crystal. Seems they both saved a couple cents by running on a RC oscillator.
Since it's likely the microcontroller internal oscillator, there is probably not much you can do unless you're really lucky and it's connected to an external pin where you can force it.
Maybe look for ‘droop’, ‘islanding’ or ‘paralleling’ settings?
It has no such public setting or config register and their tech support just told me that it cannot be fine tuned
