Have done some intial tests with a simple microphone plugged into a PC's on-board sound inputs running Audacity. I had to turn the gain pretty high, and there is plenty of 'hiss'.
This site (
https://www.musicrepo.com/which-usb-microphone/) has a list of actual recordings from USB microphones and I can tell the difference between some of them. The Shure sounds pretty good, but it is relatively costly.
The Samson C01U Pro gets reasonable reviews, but people mention it is a little noisy.
Another option could be some kind of 'mixer', with inputs for USB and condensor etc and output to USB?
I take it your guitar doesn't have a Fishman pickup, and you're just looking to go direct in with a mic? Here's a couple of budget friendly suggestions.
#1 The ART Tube MP.

You still need a microphone, and there's no USB out. Only 1/4 inch and XLR. But you can get an adapter

#2 The ZOOM PS04. These are great, but no longer made. It has an "OK" mic built in, is a 4 track, and has built in effects. Plus, it's portable! Take it outside, to a friend's house, whatever.
